Classes meet March 22, March 29, April 5 & April 12
Springtime Crafts $45
Grades 1-3 1:00 to 2:00pm.
Grades 4-6 2:15 to 3:15pm.
Celebrate the arrival of Spring with three unique projects. Make a paper origami box with a handmade book to hide inside, create a yarn & cloth basket to carry your seasonal treasures, and design a decorative pot for plants. All materials included.
Instructor: Lisa Rogers is a graduate of USM’s Extended Teacher Education Program.
Intro to MS Publisher $45
Grades 4-6 ONLY.
1:00 to 2:00pm.
Express yourself by creating your own greeting cards, flyers, signs, and even a paper airplane! You’ll explore basic concepts of graphic design using text, clip art, and other techniques. This flyer was designed with MS Publisher! Flash drive included.
Basic keyboard and mouse experience recommended.
Instructor: Stephanie Crippen also teaches HTML.
Belly Dancing for Girls $45
Grades 1-6 meet together.
1:00 to 2:00pm OR 2:15 to 3:15pm.
Choose one session ONLY.
Appropriate for girls of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. A fun, natural form of exercise and a disciplined cultural art. Come dressed in a skirt or bring a scarf to wrap around your waist.
Instructor: Nova Free is a UMA student and has studied Belly Dancing for 7 years.
Beginning HTML $45
Grades 4-6 ONLY
2:15 to 3:15pm.
Want to be a computer programmer? This class introduces you to HTML, the Internet programming language. Learn the “secret” codes that make up the web and create your own homepage! Flash drive included.
Basic keyboarding skills are REQUIRED.
Instructor: Stephanie Crippen is a graduate of the UMA Library Information Technology program.
The Veterinarian $50
Grades 1-6 meet together.
1:00 to 2:00pm OR 2:15 to 3:15pm.
Choose one session ONLY.
Experience the work of a veterinary technician! Work with live animals and vet equipment.
Instructor: Janet Knight is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has been teaching this wildly popular Vet class since 1998.
