Transfer-Friendly Programs Popular Choice
Flexible programs that accept prior college credits may be the only way some students can finish a degree. These include many students taking courses at University College centers and sites state-wide.
Typically called “degree completion,” these programs allow returning students to bring in credits, individualize a course of study and to choose from a variety of courses taught by instructors on-site, online or via ITV and videoconference. Programs available through University College include the BA in Liberal Studies from UMA and the Bachelor of University Studies from UMaine.
University College provides access to dozens of additional degree programs from the University of Maine System and offers personalized support services, including tutoring, financial aid assistance, and career counseling.
