Maine's Public Universities - University of Maine System

Supplementing Your Course with the Web and Other Technologies

Many instructors choose to supplement the class-time with computer conferencing and other Web resources. Many faculty use Blackboard, a Web-based course management program with document posting, computer conferencing, and assessment tools. WebCT, a similar program, is supported on the University of Maine campus, as is FirstClass.

In addition, a toll-free, telephone conferencing bridge is available for office hours, review sessions, or in-class group discussion. You can link students at any site where there is only one student.
