Video and Streaming Video Production

Video is an excellent choice for demonstrating procedures, visiting a new location, bringing in experts, and showing objects from multiple perspectives. Videotapes or DVDs are distributed to students through the UMA Bookstore (or any designated campus bookstore).

Videotape Production

If you are interested in producing a videotape or audiotape, you may first want to discuss your plans with our instructional development staff, who can help you obtain necessary copyright clearances and assist with graphics, studio or field production and editing. If you are interested in any of these services, contact Paige Ricciardo to discuss the procedures and timelines involved in video and streaming video production.

Streaming Video Production

Audio and video streaming can add a new dimension to your course. Since it is relatively easy to set up a link to the media you want to use, your students can access the clips from convenient locations in your course site. You can link to existing resources on the Web or digitize video and/or audio clips which you have produced yourself (see above) or for which you have obtained copyright clearances.

Our staff will digitize your video to produce QuickTime movie and reference files, and upload reference files into the Blackboard/course Web site. If you are interested in any of these services, contact Rich Frino to discuss the procedures and timelines involved.
