Bookstore
The Houlton Higher Education Center sells all textbooks for the University of Maine at Presque Isle on-site classes at the Center. Courses offered from other campuses through the University of Maine System via State-wide ITV or on-line computer classes must purchase the textbooks through the University of Maine at Augusta bookstore. Orders may be placed through the UMA bookstore by calling 1-800-621-0083 or fax 1-800-243-7338 during the hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Orders may also be placed on-line to the UMA Bookstore (www.umabookstore.com). Check with staff at the front desk to assist you in determining the required items that need to be purchased. For example, syllabi are not handed out in the first class. These items and other course materials must be ordered through the UMA Bookstore. Orders should be placed two weeks prior to the start of the semester to ensure you have the materials for class.
