To renew your books borrowed from URSUS, you can renew online by viewing your record, calling Off-Campus Library Services at 1-800-339-7323, or leaving us an e-mail.

Finding Articles

To find journal and magazine articles, newspaper articles, book reviews, and other current information, you will be using the Indexes and Databases in Mariner. These databases cover varying date ranges and discipline areas. To find information about the coverage and date ranges of the database, click on the in front of the database name.

Business Source Premier -- Citations and full-text articles about local, national, and international business and industry. Includes company profiles, industry profiles, and market research reports.

Business and Company Resource Center -- Comprehensive source of information for conducting company, industry and market research. Provides access to the contents of over 4,000 business and economics periodicals (over 3,000 with full-text coverage). Also includes the contents of key reference works such as Ward's Business Directory of U.S. Private and Public Companies, Business Rankings Annual, International Directory of Company Histories, Market Share Reporter and Encyclopedia of Associations.

LexisNexis Academic -- Provides full-text documents from over 5,900 sources, including: · National and regional newspapers, wire services, broadcast transcripts, international news, and non-English language sources · U.S. Federal and state case law, codes, regulations, legal news, law reviews, and international legal information · Shepard's® Citations for all U.S. Supreme Court cases back to 1789. Business news and journals, company directories and financial information, SEC filings and reports, international economic and market data and analysis, and industry and market news.

Academic Search Premier -- covers the areas of study: social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts and literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies. Date coverage varies according to the publication. Provides full-text for nearly 4,000 scholarly publications.

Newspapers (Proquest) -- Full text of more than 500 U.S. and international news sources. Includes The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Boston Globe, and the Times of London, plus hundreds of other news sources and news wires. Years of coverage vary by title. Maine papers included: Bangor Daily News (1992+), Portland Press Herald (1995+), and selected business coverage from Maine Times (1994-2002) and Central Maine Morning Sentinel (1993-1997).

Maine Newsstand -- Index to and full text coverage of four Maine newspapers. Database includes comprehensive coverage of the Bangor Daily News (12/3/92-present) and the Portland Press Herald (10/30/95-present). Selected business coverage of the Central Maine Morning Sentinel (8/12/93-8/27/97) and Maine Times (2/4/95-present). Updated regularly.

Wall Street Journal -- Index to and full text coverage of the nation's leading business daily from 1984.

To order articles that are not full-text , you may request photocopies of the articles from the Off-Campus Library Services office. Use our homepage found at: www.learn.maine.edu/ocls and click on the "Article Request Form / ILLiad Document Delivery ."

Create an account (first-time users) and fill out the request form. Articles are delivered to the web, and you will be notified via email when they are available for you to view and print.
