Veterans:  Still waiting for Fall 2009 benefit payment?   The Dept. of Veterans Affairs has funds available for Veteran students who are still awaiting their education benefit claim to be processed. Eligible veterans can receive up to a $3,000 advance, which will be recouped from future benefit payments. If you applied for a VA education
program, but have not yet received your monthly benefit payment for Fall 2009, you can request a one-time advance payment at your local VA Regional Office or the VA*s website ( http://www.va.gov/ ). FMI: Registrar Office at 621-3458 or 1-877-862-1234, ext. 3458
