USM Placement Tests
USM uses a math test called Accuplacer (CPT). It is an untimed, computerized exam which covers Pre-Algebra, Algebra and college-level mathematics. (USM does not require an English test to take ENG 104C-- Intensive College Writing.)

UMA Placement Tests
UMA also uses the Accuplacer (CPT), but requires 3 tests. All tests are untimed and computerized exams. Sentence Skills covers English (grammar), Reading Comprehension (measures reading ability) and mathematics (described above).
