UC Offers Accessible Social Services Programs

Maine’s public universities again will offer a variety of courses and degree programs in the field of mental health and social services at University College centers and sites in the upcoming spring semester, which begins January 12. The courses will be taught on-site or delivered via interactive television and teleconference. Many courses also will be available online.

The courses will appeal to people seeking credentials or skill development in human and social services, which can include careers in social work, counseling, psychology and education.

Students taking courses at University College locations can earn degrees in Mental Health and Human Services and in Rehabilitation Counseling. Students also can choose from certificate programs in Child and Youth Care, Human Services, Mental Health Rehabilitation, Substance Abuse Rehabilitation, and Child and Family Services.
